REVIVAL/;REDUCTION of premium for policy no.11818755,
I HAVE TAKEN A POLICY IN MY WIFE’S NAME MS MANJU SINGH OF RS ONE LAC [POLICY NO 11818755]ON 11TH APRIL 2008. IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2009,I HAVE GIVEN A LETTER TO REDUCE THE PREMIUM TO TEN THOUSAND PER YEAR AS PER REQUIREMENT OF HDFC SLIC TO MR ANURAG GORAV OF RAJOURI GARDEN BRANCH TO WHICH HE INFORMED ME THAT NEEDFUL HAS BEEN DONE AND PREMIUM HAS BEEN REDUCED TEN THOUSAND AND PAYMENT BE DONE THROUGH ECS. I RECIEVED ALETTER FROM HDFC SLIC STATING THAT ABOVE POLICY HAS LAPSED IN APRIL 2009 DUE TO NON PAYMENT OF PREMIUM WHICH IS RS ONE LAC.I CONTACTED THE CONCERNED PERSONNEL INCLUDING LODGING A COMPLAINT NO,448642 ON 18TH MAY 2009. AS PER RULES THE COMPANY’S REQUIRMENT IS THAT AREQUEST BE GIVEN MINIMUM 21 DAYS PRIOR TO PREMIUM PAYMENT DATE . I HAD GIVEN THE LETTER IN JANUARY 2009 WHICH THEY CONFIRMED RECIEVING ON 4TH FEBRUARY 2009 .AFTER LOT OF CALLS TO BOMBAY DELHI ETC ,I RECIEVED ACALL FROM HDFC SLIC SAKET BRANCH, STATING THE PREMIUM CAN BE REDUCED FIFTY THOUSAND FOR THIS YEAR AND NEXT YEAR ONWARDS IT WILL BE REDUCED TEN THOUSAND IF YOU GIVE A LETTER FOR THE SAME. I CAN NOT PAY THIS PREMIUM . SO NO RESULT SO FAR.
it was mis sold you the policy have u seen the charges of the product no u have not only one way is there you should cancel the policy if they not do that just any how you take receiving of cancelation and then go to court defenately you will be componsiate with interest it is in the rules of IRDA
