This complaint is in the regards of “Harassment and Shame” on the name of services and commitment offered by a renowned brand “ICICI BANK”. I am availing their services from last 5 years. This Issue was begun on dated 20th Sep 2012, when I received a call from customer care executive of ICICI Lombard Health Insurance regarding the renewal of the existing policy Number 4034i/FPP/W-10832635/00/000. I requested him to proceed for renewal and made a transaction from my ICICI Bank Credit Card Number 5239 xxxx xxxx 6013 to renew this policy, also mentioned him very clearly to not to convert this transaction into EMI. The reason being I had purchased few another policies from ICICI Lombard on this card in 2011 which they people converted into EMI’s. I paid those EMI’s entire year without knowing what they people are charging to me. When I asked to give me the consolidated Statement for these EMI, which they never provided. This time I don’t want this hassle, so I denied for EMI option. Now In the month of Oct’12 I received a monthly statement with charges of Rs 674 for EMI of the policy. I called Customer Care executive of ICICI Credit card dept (Executive Named SARLA) to know the reason of these charges. Firstly she denied that these charges are not from their end, it’s from Lombard insurance who they have converted into EMI’s. Lombard is blaming to Cards. They are just playing a blame game. No one is taking the responsibility. For me “ICICI” is only One Brand. I have nothing to do with their department irrespective of their responsibility or Services. After discussion with her she confirmed me that these are the charges of Lombard Health Insurance Policy which I had renewed on dated 20th Sep 2012. I told her that I had never given any authorization for this EMI Conversion. She told me that this conversion is from LOMBARD prospective and @ the same time she made a conference call with Lombard (Executive Named Manoj). He confirmed the transaction and for the conversion he told us that he will call back. ICICI Credit Card Executive (SARLA) suggests me to make the payment after deducting the amount of Rs 674 (Policy payment) and she assured me that the financial charges and late will be reverse next month. I did the same and in the next month Nov’12 statement there was no reversal as she confirmed, rather they charged me twice for EMI’s and With Late Payment and Another Financial Charges. Again I made the call to Customer care executive on 11th Nov’12 to know the status of the registered complaint. The same story repeated once again and he assured me that they will arrange a call back from their seniors. After that I made payment of another expenses excluding their EMI’s and late payment. Till Jan’13 Issue was not resolved, However they blocked my card and I Stopped their payment. I called to customer care Numerous times, but there was not result. Rather, they started the harassment by making the threatening calls for the payment by the collection department twice a day (Executive named (KAMAL) from Videocon tower Jhandewala Extn, New Delhi and it’s a regular process. I am a regular customer and used card frequently. I make the payment on regular basis and don’t have the negative credit history as per ICICI Bank User credit rating. As a salaried person I am doing a private job; I don’t have time to repeat the entire story to each individual. Yesterday, they had sent an executive @ my residential address for the collection. Their daily calls just spoiled my entire day which ends with frustration and hampering my personal and professional Life. My request is your attention towards this case and gives me relief from this.
