Faulty phones and fuzzy logic

To Whomsoever it may concern,
I bought a Spice phone for INR 5,600. The model no. in question being XLife 511 Pro. I bought it on 9th March 2016 and 10:30 PM and I find it not working at 9 AM the next day. When I go to the service centre they want to charge me by citing physical damage when not even a scratch has been made on the phone.
What sort of a company does that.

The IMEI no of my phone is 911463900622745 and the shop I bought it from is called “Nakoda Electronics and Computers”.

Kindly let me know what action can be taken for the same.
