My name is Pooja Kumari. I am a student of Bokaro Steel City College studying B.Ed here. I am ungrateful to register complaints against my college. It is a government college where we,(100 students) have paid first annual fee of Rs. 80,000 each, have been attending college for about 2 months now and there has been no change in academic environment. There’s a list of complaints I would like to draw attention to with a very sorry and dissatisfied heart.
1. At the time of admission it was claimed that the medium of instruction would be both English and Hindi but this is not so except a single teacher rest all are hindi medium and English medium students face this problem of language. We tried communicating this to our teachers but in vain.
2. According to the changed syllabus of B.Ed we do not have efficient teachers.
3. Library is not well furnished with books.
4. There are no sufficient washrooms, no electricity bulbs in the washroom, no lock facility to close the door of the washroom from inside and we have to go in the only dark washroom in the entire college.
5. There isn’t a single wash basin or tap water available in the entire college.
6. Proper lights are not there in the only classroom we have, lights blink.
7. Routine is rarely followed. Classes are held from 10:30 – 3:30 but no quality education, teachers come and teach not according to the routine but as per their whims and fancy. Some do not come on their scheduled time while some are present but don’t come to take the class.
8. Some teachers do not come regularly, they come at alternate intervals, specially the H.O.D Of B.Ed department.
9. Not a single day do we see all teachers present. Also, most of the teachers are absent during the assembly.
So, I kindly request to take charge over this and work out a solution to our problems. We shall be grateful for your concern and assistance.
