Dear Sir,
This is to inform you that i had made my air india flight booking through goibibo.in and my PNR is Z7KND scheduled for 2nd of May from Hyd to Delh and 3rdMAy from Del to Imphal. I had booked my tickets in march itself and the cost was approx. Rs5500. I had rescheduled my booking the next day for 3rd of may and 5th may instead whereby the call center executives said i have to pay appox. Rs 1500 for amendment on the day of departure and no change in the fare, to which i agreed. Then, a day before my journey, on friday, 2nd of may i called the call center executives to confirm the timing of my flight . The next day, 3rd (day of my travel), i went to the airindia counter to make the payment of my changes that was due Rs 1500. To my surprise the executive who was in charge, Mr. Vishal Singh said that i had booked my tickets just one day before and charged me around Rs 14500 approx. To my utter dismay, i questioned him what is the proof that i have modified my booking just one day prior, he was dead silent. And was not ready to even listen that i have a proof from air india of my bookings made one month prior and have the modified ticket ( copy attached ) I even spoke to the duty manager Mr. Gaurav but to no avail. i had to board my flight despite the huge amount levied as the circumstances was unavoidable.
Here are few of names that i spoke with to confirm if we need to pay anything extra apart from change fee. I was told that i need to pay only the change fee at the checking desk as the booking is in the same class ‘S’. This info was confirmed twice by your Bombay based call center rep.Gaurave Morey and his supervisor Manan.
I have contacted your call center on 3rd May on the day of the dept. and spoke with Ms.Asha Mohan and her Manager Pawan Kumar ( Chennai based call center) who confirmed that if its an error than the extra paid amount will be refunded, as the matter has already been escalated and requested for call listening and was told to call them again to check if the remarks has been passed in the booking regarding the misleading information provided by your call center reps.
please look in to this matter and refund the amount that i paid for at the checking desk and the take necessary actions asap
