With reference to above subject the flight booked from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City with PNR No: HJIZRX, I want to bring certain things to your notice and ask you consider this complaint and issue full refund for the same flight.
1) I was planning for flight from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City on 24/4/19. So I searched on goibibo site for the same. ( Please see the attachment 1. Screenshot)
2) Now you can open the attachment (2. Screenshot). You can see many flights from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minch City. I chose the first result shown in search result that is Vietnam Airlines Hanoi 18:40 with 50 min duration to VII 19.30.
3) I booked the flight. (see attachment 3. Flight Ticket)
4) In that evening I cheeked all my flight tickets. The flight ticket revealed that the flight was from Hanoi at 18:40 to Vinh City, Flight VN1715 with PNR No. HJIZRX.
5) I called the customer helpline for same. But customer care executive assured me that the booking was correct and flight is from Hanoi to Ho Chin Minh city. He also told me that Ho Chi Minh City has two airports and VII airport (Vinh City) is domestic airport.
6) As I was not satisfied with above I searched the facts on google maps.
7) See attachment ( 4. Screenshot ) which reveals the exact location and flight duration between Hanoi and Vinh city in the Vietnam which is 50 min.
8) See the attachment( 5. Screenshot )which reveals the exact location and flight duration between Hanoi and Ho Chin Minch City which is 2 hrs. and 5min.
9) The flight duration printed on flight ticket was 50 min. But the duration for flight between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minch City is almost more than 2 hrs. also the location on google maps very different .
10) Again on searching on the google I found the Vietnam Airline VN1715 flights flight path is not from Hanoi to Ho Chin Minch, but it is from Hanoi to Vinh City.
11) VII airport is situated in Vinh City (Vinh is the capital of Nghệ An Provincend biggest city of central Vietnam), whereas the Ho Chi Minch city also known by former name Saigon is located in southeast Vietnam. Both are different.
When I requested for cancellation of flight and full refund of my money, Goibibo asked for following cancellation fee:
Booking ID : MYSMF331688719
Airline Cancellation Fee: 6484 (total for 4 passengers)
Goibibo Cancellation fee: 2596 (total for 4 passengers)
Convenience Fee: 3196 (total for 4 passengers)
Total cancellation charges: 12276
CONSIDERING THE ABOVE MENTIONED 11 FACTS AND PROVIDED ATTACHMENTS, MY QUESTION IS WHY SHOULD I SUFFER FOR CANCELLATION CHARGES, AS PRIMA FACIES THE SERVICE PROVIDER “GOIBIBO” IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THE WRONG INFORMATION ON THEIR WEBSITE AND BOOKING WRONG FLIGHT.
