My name is Ashish Mehra. I’m currently working in MobiKwik. I purchased a cellphone from ”Karbonn” (Titanium X). Its just been 15 days, and the screen got tampered automatically. I just had a 10 minutes ride back to my home from my office and in between those 10 minutes I had this nightmare. I work in a KPO doing night shifts to earn my living, and this is my hard earned money which i spent to buy a new phone from Karbonn. I experienced the worst customer support from Karbonn, none of the numbers mentioned in the booklet are working. I had to contact the customer service centers of various states and luckily I found a number that was working. I told them my issue that such problem happened with my phone and they said, it will cost you 7,500 to get it repaired, but my question is, why I need to pay again to get it repaired, as you’ll not be able to find any scratch on the phone, so how the screen was tampered. This phone costs me around 8,200 and now i had to pay 7,500 more to get it repaired. I didn’t find it logical any how. I also tried to contact the corporate office for the same, they said, they will arrange a call back for me, and they did called me back, but the executive kept on saying that, he is not able to hear me. And, I think, I know the reason why. Karbonn is the worst company to deal with as a a consumer. I’m from a middle class family and I have many responsibilities to deal with and if I had to pay 7,500 more to get the phone repaired which costs 8,200, I can not do it till next 3-4 months and seriously, I’m not gonna do it. I request you to please look in this asap.
Seeking your support in this regard, as I’m feeling like cheated. The phone is still with me and it is just a useless crap for me now. Please look in to this and I hope to get justice through consumer forum.
