Thanks for giving me the mail and thanks Junaid about the mouse issue.I little bit got embarrassed about the mouse issue but it’s ok.Now the concern is for my dell inspiron n5110(Service Tag-GD3xKP1) laptop.First of all please find all the documents attached with this mail.Ok now I am

telling from the beginning.As a novice consumer,as a novice software professional I have gone to the crowded shop of Vedant on 3rd September,2011 and bought this laptop with the invooice copy attached with this mail.As I am getting invoice copy,so it’s simply tough for a customer to predict whether this is legally purchased or illegally purchased or smuggled.When I reached at my home I found that they have torn off the seal on the box.Within 15 days I got problem on my screen,I went to the retailer and told them to replace it.They ignored.So I went to the dell service center which is at chandni chowk kolkata..they put my laptop which is on 19.09.2011,when I was asking them whether it is genuine or not,they gave me a printout,this one is attached with this mail.I saw that it was showing on dell india site.I was assured that it’s genuine.They took 6-7 days time and replaced with a hazy screen,then they replaced my speaker also because right side speaker was producing unwanted noise.So I again contacted Dell customer support,and dell had provided the onsite support at my office address.I was impressed.As I got two times support,so I thought it’s genuine.On June I again got problem on the right side speaker,it was totally off.So I contacted Dell,then dell simply refused to give me any support as it’s illegal,some dell support executives told me I can only get support from the retailer and if I submit my invoice copy of the retailer from where they have purchased,I can get support and dell will take necessary action.So I went to the retailer and they had given the invoice copy.So again contacted dell,dell simply refused this invoice copy and said if I submit invoice copy from china then I can get support.Even I heard that why I have not bought it or order it from Dell India site.So I had gone to Consumer Affairs Department on 26.06.2012.I had submitted all the documents.I even requested one support executive to simply email that my laptop is illegal,but I was refused,I was told it can be only given to my lawyer.Consumer affairs dept took more than 2 months time.They called Vedant and decision taken is–“Vedant will replace the speaker on 19th september in presence of me and they will manage to extend my warranty.”Here one question arises is there any illegal relation between Dell and Vedant by which Vedant can do but a normal customer can not do??So I agreed upon this consideration as it’s simply tough to take many leaves from office,if I have to fought for this then I simply have to give resignation to my company.So after contacting so many times with Vedant ultimately I was told to come on this Monday(4th October,2012).I have brought my laptop and they just open another dell laptop,open the speakers and put it in my laptop.I was watching this funny issue.Is that the warranty that I expected??.After fixing that I asked them to give me repair slip,they refused.I was told to give them the invoice copy,after watching invoice copy Rohit of Vedant said “this is torn,let me give a new one”.So they have given a new invoice ,the new invoice copy is also attached with this mail,where they have clearly mentioned “1 year warranty by Vedant” and beneath no sign,but I had the scanned copy of the older invoice copy which is also attached herewith to compare.I also seen an award by Dell on their shop”Dell authorized dealer” or something.Now I am thinking that they will not manage any type of extension of warranty.Now my questions are

i)is there any illegal relation between dell and Vedant which Vedant can do and I can not do from Dell?

ii)If they are selling illegally,then why Dell will not take action against this,why a customer will suffer,get hackle after getting invoice copy or purchase copy?

See I am not a new Dell customer,previously I had Inspiron 1545(Service Tag-56GT3BS) in my B.tech life purchased from Computer Gallery.Somebody I had stolen it but I was satisfied with its performance so I again bought Dell.Now if you take no action against the above case,return money from vedant or laptop,then I have to say to the media,the news channels,focus this hot issue or have to use my software brain.Will that be better for a mnc like Dell??.Because being worked in a private sector it’s simply impossible to go again and again to consumer forum or other Govt sectors.So hoping for a good resolution,I am ending this big mail.:).
