Vodafone deactivated SIM, forfeited balance and Floated my 10 year old no. in market. No Help whatsoever

This is Mudit Malhotra.This is about a bizarre case that happened with us. My mother was not in town for like 65 days and could not use her phone, So when she went back, to everyone’s surprise her phone was not working. SIM card not registered.
So next day she went to Vodafone Customer Care centre ( who should be happy to help but were not really), and asked what was wrong. They told her that your SIM was deactivated because you did not use it in last 60 days; fine, please reactivate it ! But to our shock the lady on counter said that this SIM was deactivated, cancelled and reprinted to be sold again ….. What ?
I mean you guys will never act fast on any complaints but when it comes to harass someone who is loyally bound with you for last 10 years, you are fast really fast.
Also, I would like to bring into your notice that nothing was notified to anyone during all this, no call, no letter, nothing. I mean did you not even think about all this before taking such a big step ?

This is like stealing some ones identity, and we are certainly not going to let you get away with this.

Can I please request you to please look into this matter and get my mother her number back asap ? she was using this for last 10 years and it wont be possible for her to communicate new number to all her contacts.
Please do something meaningful and useful to us, as we have had lot of meaningless excuses from everywhere.
