I am JP being Vodafone Postpaid customer over 6+ years.
I’ve become the latest victim of incorrect download charges by Vodafone which I have never downloaded, neither have I visited the website.
Monthly Rental Plan : 249. 1GB – 3G Data plan(Rs 250)
Bill No – XXXX8154
Bill period – 20-Oct-2014 to 19-Nov-2014
Bill Date – 20-Nov-2014
When i checked the bill, I couldn’t understand what these stands for.
30.10.2014 wapvilla_ppd 0.00(Kb) Rs.49
30.10.2014 d2c_mobilart_75 0.00(Kb) Rs.75
Total Downloaded charges = 124/Rs
While verifying my previous bill Oct-2014, similar charges were applied with difference website details.I am not aware of the below websites name until now.

When i contact customer care (198), they are not raising any complaint about the download charges. They responded like Vodafone will make download charges if paid websites are accessed, even though 3G data limit exist.
I just wanted to understand when 3G data plan is activated, how can we identify paid websites without any notification/alert. If so, Vodafone should provide the list of websites which are free/paid.
Most interesting response was “As we are using smart phone, we might subscribed some websites by mistake, which is not realistic.
I have checked in the consumer forum complaints, and along with me there are hundreds who have been fraudulently charged by Vodafone for these absurd downloads.
I demand the charges be reimbursed. Expecting the fair service to the customer.
