i converted my mobile plan from prepaid to postpaid about 3 months ago and my postpaid plan is of 200Rs and usual monthly charges varies between 300 to 500Rs.
I have called up airtel customer care to activate monthly gprs plan which is of 98 Rs for 1GB limited usage.At the end of the month when i got the bill,I found it surprising to see 4200Rs as my bill amount and my internet usage was only 500MB.I dint even exceed the limit that i am supposed to use.When i dug deep into my bill details i found my internet usage has been charged heavily(approximately 5000Rs) between july 25th to 27th and tht too GPRS service not even 3G.They are saying that my mobile was not activated with 98Rs GPRS plan between 25th to 27th.Even though if it is not, if one gets 1GB internet usage for 98 Rs,if included in plan and the same guy needs to pay 10000Rs for the same internet usage,how can this be justified?Is it a crime to use internet if not in any plan..?it is like as if me taking some punishment for the mistake that i committed..even if i am caught in a crime,the court doesnt charge me that much…this is like capitalising on ignorance of the people..airtel
