UNFAIR PRACTICES OF TATA DOCOMO

There are few unfair practices are being followed by TATA DOCOMO which I would like to bring to your notice-

1. I have recharged my TATA DOCOMO NUMBER 8237120798 with Rs. 250/- for 1GB 3G data and followed that with Rs. 454/- for 3.5 GB 3G data on 27 June 2014. The total data balance should be 4.5 GB(1 GB+3.5 GB) but the practice being followed in this telecom company is that they cancel out any previous data on fresh recharge thus I have only 3.5 GB data in my account.
The inconsistencies in the policy are-
a. TATA PHOTON, which is administered by same company follows the policy of adding data along with all
other ISP’s.
b. TATA DOCOMO has failed to inform this policy by any mode of communication.
c. If we follow the law of uniformity in voice recharge then TATA DOCOMO uses different policy that is
they add talk time on subsequent recharge.

2. When the data pack ends deduction is being done from the main balance which is justified but the lacuna here is that they do not inform consumer about lapsing of their data pack. This results in exorbitant charges for the same data. The difference can be understood by Rs. 250 pack gives 41 KB in 1 Paisa where as without data pack it costs 1 KB for 1 Paisa.

We consumers usually avoid going to consumer court for our grievance redressal due to lack of time but this is too much to take. If online plateform fails to cure my problem I will go to consumer court this time against pilfering of this type.

    We regret for the inconvenience caused to you.

    We tried to speak to you personally on your numbers to understand your concerns regarding recharge benefits. However, we are unable to contact you, since your calls were not answered. Further we would like to inform you that, gprs plan 250 activated on your number but same date 454 gprs plan activated so gprs plan 250 laps as a good will 1 GB data updated for 28 days given tat 72 working hrs (till 03-06-2014 ) .
