I have an airtel prepaid connection, numbered 9900699211. While making calls to Taiwan from this airtel sim, the call gets connected soon after dialling, even without a ring. And, the connected line is also a dead line. And,Rs. 10 (Call charge to Taiwan) is deducted. In the month of July alone, I had lost Rs. 100 like this. I am not able to connect to the customer care either through 121 or 198. I had escalated this to the karnataka’s nodal / appellate officer through mail, but no response. After that, I had opted for an opt out and immediately I got a call from customer care and they refunded Rs. 30. Still Rs. 70 needs to be refunded, but couldn’t contact them. Also, I made a call to Taiwan and cut the call exactly at 59 seconds. But, the post notification showed 1.01 minute and deducted Rs. 20. It is really annoying to see Airtel exploit the consumers to this extend and even more colder is the way they respond to the complaints. I hope this forum help to sort this out.
