I received a call from the number +91 11 47387600 on 06 June, 2013. The female voice at the other end said they are offering some benefit card which can be used to avail discount in conjunction with my credit/debit card. Then she asked for the expiry date of my credit card and the type of card (visa or mastercard), claiming that they are not collecting any sensitive information. Then in the next step, she asked the credit card number, which I refused to provide.
With your credit card number, expiry date and the type of card, anyone can misuse your card. Some unsuspecting people can actually fall for this.
