I like to draw your kind attention that my Micro oven of brand Smsung got out of order within warranty period but the maker ( M/S Samsung) is asking around Rs. 6,000/-(Rupees Six thousand only) for repair of the same with a plea that a circuit has been damaged by cockroaches/insets which is not acceptable to me as the space where the oven is kept is clean and clear . Also other electronic gadgets are functioning at the same place for years together.
We are requested to look into the matter and arrange to redress my grievance by repair/replacement of the faulty oven free of cost by the maker.

Please note that I had purchased one micro oven “SAMSUNG CE 73 JD/XTL.CONV.MWO 101279” from M/s. Great Eastern Appliances Pvt. Ltd., 20, Old Court House Street, Kolkata: 700 001, on 25/03/2012
The above item was in daily use, but suddenly it became dead since 23/07/12, I lodged complain accordingly and your representative from service centre visited on 24/07/12 evening, opened the machine and informed one circuit has to be replaced and cost of such repair would be around Rs.6, 000/- (Rupees Six thousand only) as the same is damaged by small cockroaches etc.
Under the above circumstances, since the machine is very much under warranty period and kept at a clear space within my drawing room along with other electronic gadget like T.V, DVD etc, how can the insects could damage the oven only ? And if at all the oven is susceptible to ingress of insects etc why sufficient precautionary measure from your end was not taken to avoid such damage? (For instance, provision of wire net or any other method as deemed fit) Such unfortunate incident within three months of purchase is very much against the good will of your esteemed multinational brand. Also, for an oven of worth Rs. 9,200/- (Rupees Nine thousand two hundred only) such high repair cost of Rs. 6,000/-(Rupees Six thousand only) sounds beyond economical. Further more; there is no guarantee that even after such repair the circuit will not again be damaged by so called insects /cockroaches.
You are requested to look into the matter sympathetically and head for the solution of repair problem free of cost as a good gesture to your user.
