I hold a credit card for Standard Chartered Bank Card No. XXXX XXXX XXXX 8826, Name – Arun Sharma and has been banking with them for like 7years. Now recently my card got overlimit because of their late payment charge which was missed by a day and then they added an overlimit fee which is because of late payment fee. On calling the bank CC and asking them to take a request to remove it they informed that we cant take even the request as your card is temporarily blocked and their system will not be able to take such request. I myself worked in same industry and know for fact that late payment fee and overlimit fee can be removed once in 1year which i never availed. To my surprise the lady even said that i am supposed to pay my card full to be able to get it unblocked. So in a way BANK wants me to oblige to their so called foolish policy which they never notified me on or either go to collection route which impacts my CREDIT LIMIT. The bank should be sued for such activities and forcing people to do obey to their stupid policy. I would want an action to be taken against them and provide customer a resolution and not screwing their credit rating cos thats the worse they can do.
