I have given my Sony camera model no DSC-H2 to Guwahati Service centre for repair vide job no – J41415687, dated 30/06/2014, which I bought from Guwahati Sony Distributor in 2006. the service centre has taken an advance of Rs.4000 from me against an estimated repair cost of Rs.7500. But till now, when I have not received any feedback from service centre, I have called up them and came to know that the spares for my camera that is the lens is not available with SONy and they cant repair it. Against this unavailability of spares, Sony has offered me 25% discount on buying a new camera model WX220. Now, my H2 camera is a DSLR and interchangable lens camera which was the best available camera with Sony in 2006 and priced at Rs.24500 that time. Now, why shall I go for a new camera with an additional cost and for a model which is much inferior to H2 in terms of quality and status. Now, I want either my camera to be repaired without any delay as they have taken advance money for spares or a new DSLR camera without incuring additional cost than my repairing cost of existing camera.
