Samsung failed to resolve issues on S3. I9300 Mobile

Dear Sir,

This is regarding the ongoing issues I have been facing with my Samsung handset I9300 – Galaxy S3

I bought this on 29 November 2013 after doing lot of research and going through reviews.

The issue started in Jan 2014 with slow performance and delay in lock screen followed by Samsung official update release for Android 4.3. I tried taking help with phone support but nogo.

I did my first visit to service center in Mar 14. where the issue kept worsening post the Samsung update to 4.3 version and the additional issues started with purple screen flashing randomly and heating issue.
During this visit they ignored my heating issue stating it is normal which was not true.

They performed software upgrade again to 4.3 but the 3 issues still continued
1. Slow performance and delay in lock screen upto 2-3 secs on pressing the power button
2. Purple screen flashing randomly on unlocking
3 Heating Issues during normal usage

I did my 2nd visit in june while I was frequenting hospitals for my family’s health exchanging Xrays and endoscopy reports on this cell phone.

Every time I used to call the hospital in emergency or otherwise I had to wait for 2 to 3 secs for the screen to come up.

It’s killing waiting for 2 secs to dial the hospital.
This time again they only did software upgrade instead of fixing my issue.

I raised the concern with samsung CEO office and they asked me to visit the service center the third time. I denied at that moment informing them that I am frequenting hospitals and I can’t afford to visit the service center again and again as I need to take medical issues for my family at a priority specially when I had just visited the service center last week. I requested them for a replacement to which they denied though same issues continued even after 2 visits to service center

Somehow struggled using the cellphone managing the delay, screen flashing and heating.

Did my third visit in Aug 14. This time I reiterated that the issue is not resolved even after doing multiple visits

This time they took the cellphone Under observation and agreed the presence of heating issue and changed the board.

Got my cellphone in 1st week of September and new issue came up post the PCB board which was with cellphone not turning on until battery is physically connected twice. The charging time went upto 4 hrs. The purple screen flashing continues though I had sent multiple emails to ensure all my issues are resolved before I collect.
9 Sep 14 I went for the 4th time and this time they found the issue with LCD causing purple flash. This should have been taken care off earlier.

Got my cell yesterday and the display issue is fine. But the delay still continues on lock screen for 2-3 secs.

I had requested them on all 4 visits either to downgrade the OS to 4.1 or upgrade the Ram if possible but no one could help.

S3 with 1 Gb RAM is not able to support 4.3

The delay issue was not present until 4.3 update came

If Samsung is not able to fix then refund my money or replace with another one which does not have delays.

  1. I agree wid d issues mentioned. I too had an S3 which used to heat up in just 5 mins of normal use. The lagging on every application was very frequent & equally frustrating..Also unlocking used to take lots of time, i simply had to unlock & keep waiting for mins to see my screen on..All the issues after 4.3 upgrade, I though did not have the patience for a positive resolution nor trust that the company would fix the issue soon hence bought a new handset..Samsung needs to help customers with issues created due to their fault..
