An order was placed for purchase of Moto G (16 GB) to Flipkart Order No. OD40815200692 on 15.08.2014. In the morning of 28.08.2014 I got the message from Flipkart that the courier was unable to deliver the order and hence the same was cancelled. When I tracked the order on Courier’s site, I could see that the order was lost
In transit.
I was shocked to learn this and then I called the customer care number of Flipkart. I insisted the customer care not to cancel the order but to supply the same mobile on the conditions at which this was ordered on 15.8.2014. The deal included additional discount of 10 % on payment with SBI Debit card. I have written several mails and called the customer care of Flipkart but no satisfactory answer is being given. They rather give irrelevant replies or say that the courier service couldn’t supply on the given address. Whereas the truth is that the courier was lost in transit as clearly mentioned by Delhivery courier. (Attached below is the report for ready reference)

I have also spent extra money to purchase accessories of the mobile in anticipation of receiving the same and also I put lot of efforts and time in locating the mobile during last two weeks.
In this connection I would like to emphasize on the following points:
1. I had ordered the mobile on 15.8. 2014 and payment was made in advance and hence I had completed all the formalities and the requirements as desired by Flipkart
2. The mobile was lost in transit by courier service, thus there is no fault of mine in this case and depriving me from purchase of mobile on the conditions for which payment was already made will be a great injustice to a customer.
3. I have spent money on accessories of the mobile and lot of my precious time was wasted and now my order has been cancelled without my consent. This is clear-cut case of cheating with the customer.
This is harassment of customers that supply of the mobile is being denied for which payment was already taken with mutual consent. Therefore I request that the mobile should be supplied at the prices prevailing when the payment was made i.e. Rs. (11399 – 10 %) = Rs. 10260
You are requested to take immediate action in this regard so that justice could be done in this regard and Flipkart should supply the mobile on agreed terms and conditions for which payment was made. Penalty may be imposed on them for compensation for mental harassment, delay and for loss of mine in purchase of accessories of the mobile.
