Sir,
It is regarding a Kurl-on mattress that was initially purchased in Aug., 2010. It did not last its period of warranty, i.e. one year and so was replaced. The new mattress with new bill and warranty card were provided in July, 2011. Now even this mattress has not lasted its warranty period.
Further, a complaint was lodged in June, 2012. It was attended by a company executive, Udai, in July, 2012, almost a month later, who formally booked the complaint (Complaint no. 1571 dated 11th July, 2012). While leaving he carried the bill that was directly given by Kurl-on company with the ‘first replacement mattress’. I shall like to draw your attention that this is a mattress that was replaced in July, 2011 and has again not lasted even the warranty period, i.e. 1 year.
Further, below is the response i received from Kurl-on to my mail that clearly suggests that now they do not any responsibility of the problem.
The mail from Kurl-on follows:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for the mailer below. I have understood the challenge mentioned below
Sir, Warranty Period for any product line is always from the Date of Original Purchase and based on our Technical Assistant visit feedback, we will carry out the necessary replacement within the Warranty Period
In this particular case let me explain [based on feedback given in your mailer]
Ø Date of Purchase – August 2010
Ø Warranty Period – 1yr
Ø End of Warranty – August 2011
Ø Replacement date is not taken into consideration for Warranty Period
Sir, Ms. Chitra M [Customer Care South Zone] will be in touch with you shortly to explain on the Guidelines of Warranty
Best Regards
Girija
The mail from Kurl-on ends.
Sir, In this regard i shall highly appreciate your timely advise, please.
regards,
Tejpal
