We dropped in today at the Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj. The vast difference in product quality and management between Jumbo Electronics, and Reliance Digital was obvious! Starting from the shoddy show window, with two dummies of LCDs covered with dust, to the sales staff huddling in corners gossiping like conspiring, bored old women!
We called out to a salesman to show us some 2in1’s. He insisted on giving us free advice, and suggested us to buy the 3,799 model than the 2,999 one. We chose the 2,999 one. He went around in the store looking for the box, couldn’t find it. Another 15 minutes passed, he said the USB port for that one was missing. We said okay, then we take the 3,799 one. We walked up, paid up, and got it tested. The USB of this one wasn’t working; they tried 2 other USB’s. The lame excuse again was that their USB drives weren’t working, but they would definitely work at home. We spent over an hour to purchase this faulty product!
All in all, it was a most depressing experience. The thrill of buying a new electronic item was lost. When you buy an electronic item, right from your first plasma TV, to your first mobile phone, it is the joy to start using it immediately that urges you to purchase it.
Therefore, we suggest to the senior-most management to close shop, rethink the reason behind opening this chain, or take immediate corrective action.
To consistently lie to a patient and trusting customer, is out of the league of selling branded products. Reliance is not reliable, neither their products, not the word of the sales staff! We are witness to that. We need an immediate replacement, or refund, as well as a written apology for being put through such trouble.
When a customer pays for a product, we work hard for earning the money to buy it. Your management, and sales team doesn’t seem to value their jobs, and the benefits they receive from it.
