Recently we applied for nursery admission for our daughter in St. Gregorios High School which is located at Chembur Ghatla, Mumbai -400 071. During our daughters person interaction and parents Q/A session with the principal (last week of Jan 2014) it was admitted by the School Principal that school doesn’t accept any donation and the admission will be purely based on merit and child’s performance based upon his/her personal interaction. By the grace of God my daughter’s personal interaction went very well and we had high expectation to get an admission call.
However we got extremely disappointed when we got to know that school management have been calling parents and asking for 4 lac donation amount. At this point I understood why the application form contained monthly salary field.
The school have not at all being transparent since the beginning of admission process. Insipte of parents visiting the school daily to know the results, school management simply keep on saying that selected students will get a call. I also understand that school have randomly selected few children’s without any donation amount just to safeguard themselves and justify that they are giving admission without donation, however they are hiding the real picture. Admission are now said to be closed on 28th Feb.
I could have very well paid 4 lac amount and got an admission for my daughter however at some point we need to bring this corruption at logical closure to benefit our society and future generations to come.
Hence would appreciate if you can arrange to have a look in to this matter urgently. Thanks and looking forward for your positive reply.
