Product or Accessories is Missing

I have ordered a “Hikvision Digital Video Recorder 4 Channel Home Security Camera (4 TB)” with order id “OD305333845682744000” from Flipkart and after placing the order on 26th Feb 2016 I enquired about the 4TB hard disk will come with the product or not, over the phone flipkart executive confirmed me that the product will come with 4TB hard disk, I asked him to provide the same in mail then he said you have to drop the mail for confirmation.

I wrote a mail to [email protected] on 27th Feb 2016 and I got the confirmation mail from the team. Again for satisfaction I called to customer care and asked for the 4TB hard disk with product and again the executive from flipkart confirmed that the product will come with 4TB hard disk.

When I received and opened the product, I found that the 4TB hard disk was not there in the package. Immediately I called flipkart customer care and told about this to the flipkart executive. He told me to write a mail regarding this, I wrote the mail and the reply was shocking for me they said in product summary it’s mentioned that the product will not include the 4TB hard disk. Luckily I have taken the screenshot of the summary while ordering the product. Both the summary were different and the summary they were referring to was modified recently. Old summary was not having any such line like “HDD is not included in the combo”.

I have requested them to fulfill the commitment they made.

On 5th March 2016, Abdul from flipkart called me and said that they will not be able to provide the committed product. I have dropped a mail to them to confirm that they will not be able to provide the product as committed but still no reply from their side.

Is this how Flipkart collect money for takeover?

Tell me what I should do? Should I just take the refund and go away? Or isn’t it my duty as a consumer to make sure businesses are penalized when they do something like this and fight for that?
