Port Out rejection from Airtel on invalid grounds

Respected Sir,

With great sense of agony and frustration I would like to bring into notice of you all wise people how there is an open loot and harassment of customer by so called largest and premium service provider of my country.

I am an existing Airtel customer with mobile number 8860622370 and just want to come out of this pathetic service for my own good. I have completed 90 days in this service and it is needless to mention why I want to port out. As far as my little knowledge on portability guidelines by TRAI goes I qualify by all means to port out to another service provider. On 9th September I raised a porting request with the Airtel and received unique porting code AD333792. Following that I received numerous retention calls from Airtel associates asking me to stay on their service which I politely refused.

On 18th Sep I received a message from Vodafone stating my port out rejection from Airtel because of some contractual obligation. When I contacted Airtel customer care, I was told that since I am Tech Mahindra CUG customer I can not port out to Vodafone. Sir, is there any such TRAI guideline which prohibits a CUG customer to port? Why I was not told of this unscrupulous practise when so many Airtel associates called me requesting not to port out to Vodafone? If CUG porting is not permitted then I was allotted the porting code in the first place?

Please understand the pain of a customer whom Airtel is forcibly trying to retain and I don’t understand what this provider is gaining from it. One thing is for sure that they have lost one customer forever and I will also ensure that I do not recommend it to anyone all my life. And sir, I am not alone, you google it and you will find many harassed customer like me who are struggling to come out of this service. I thank Vodafone for all their support in this process and also request them to do the needful. I request you to hear this case and help.

I leave my case to your wisdom. Please help me or suggest what legal action should I take.

Regards,

Anupam kumar
