Poor service by MICROMAX CARE which lead to monetary loss

I’m Praneeth, I bought a Micromax mobile on Aug 16th and on Sept 16th it got damaged and screen broke. I went to service center and they said though it is under warranty, because I broke it is my mistake so I have to pay 1000/- . I thought its fair enough and gave it to repair in Micromax Care of Marathahalli, Bangaore.

It was delivered the same day but the screen had a worn out screen guard on it. I thought maybe new ones comes like this only as I’m ignorant about it. But the same day touch did not work. As I’m a trainee in a bank, i dont get leave on weekdays so the coming weekend I went again to same service center. She said software problem and installed software it worked good. The moment I reached home, again same problem arouse. Again on Saturday I went to same service centre and they said we have to check it and I was asked to keep my mobile with them and collect after 1 week. I did so. The next week when I went, they said its repaired but still problem was persisting. Again they said they will keep new touch pad and give and game me after 2hrs or so. It worked fine.

I went back home, but after 2 days again few touch buttons were not working. Today when I went to their service center again, they said there must be problem in Mother Board and it will take 35 days to get it repaired. This clearly shows that they are running a service center where staff is such that they cant even identify what the problem is and do whatever repairs they want. Because of soo many repairs my mobiles look got worn out. As Im under training in Bangalore I would be leaving this place in 25 days. I said , I wont be present here till 35 days. They replied me saying its not our problem its your problem and companies protocol is like this only.

They were trying to blame me for their mistake. Every week I spent about 200 for travelling from home to service center. Over all this issue for getting repaired cost me around 2000. Above this is my mobile repaired?? The answer is NO. My friends told me about consumer forum. When I threatened them telling I would go to consumer forum, they literally told me, “Do the way you can sir”.

Please suggest me how I can get my issue of getting phone repair done. I want compensation for all the time that I wasted for 6 weekends and the amount that I expended to get it repaired but which is not repaired. And also I want my mobile in either perfect condition or a new one as I’m still left with 9 more months of Warranty.
