penalty paid by me on delayed registration by Unitech

I have paid for a delay of 345 days since Sep 11, INR 34500 in total. However Unitech sent me the letter to get the registry done only in Dec-11 so 3 months of delay was on the part of Unitech. Secondly, I had sent the DD of the registry amount on 10th May 2012 while the registry happened on 23rd August so another 3 ½ month which could have been avoided had the registry been done earlier.

Please note that this does not consider the fact that Unitech registry was closed at the Authority since Feb-12 itself so the actual delay on Unitech’s part is almost 9 ½ month and only 2 month on my part. I am fine and willing to bear this portion. So ignoring this, 6 ½ months (INR 20,000) of delay was on the part of Unitech.

I have been following up with them for over 5 months now to no avail. surprisingly even emails sent to the promoter family do not elicit any response
