I had requested for a Vodafone data plan worth Rs 451 on 25th Jan , 2013 using vodafone’s sms activation service at 2:39 PM. At this stage i had insufficient balance in my prepaid account and i got a reply back from them asking me to try again. I recharged my balance the same evening and sent another sms at 8:39 PM the same evening for data activation. Vodafone customer service activated my service that night , twice – once at 8:40 PM and another at 12:58 AM on 26th Jan , 2013 and deducted Rs 451 TWICE from my account. As per their service agent they consider the earlier sms sent by me at 2:39 PM on 25th still active even though their reply to me on that sms was clearly stating that i should try to activate the service after a recharge. I have been completely beguiled and duped by vodafone agents and their lack of service is really surprising. I am out of words for the manner in which they treated my complaint , both in person and on the phone. I would like to have their customer care service accountable for the inconvenience caused and bad service provided to me. Within 2 weeks of vodafone prepaid i have had about 5-6 bad experiences with vodafone’s customer care agents.
