Packers and Movers demanding more money to relase my car

I had booked my household items for relocation to Bardhaman (West Bengal) from Pune on the

16th of March 2014. A representative by the name of Ravindra Choudhury visited my premises

on the 3rd of March for a quotation and after a detailed discussion the total amount was

fixed at Rs 30000. I paid Rs 1000 advance and Rs 20150 on the 16th of March. The

consignment was booked along with my car. On the 16th of March Mr.Amarjeet called up while

packing was going on and demanded more money. I stuck to what was agreed and after much

discussion he also agreed. When the items arrived on the 23rd of March night it was a

horrible sight. My bike was damaged beyond repairs, the cartons were torn and household

items were spilling out. My bike key was missing. I accepted the consignment as it was late

at night. on 26th of March afternoon I received a call from Mr. Amarjeet who was speaking

to me very rudely and demanded Rs 14000 extra to release my car. When reminded him about

the agreement between me and Mr. Ravindra Chowdhury for Rs 30000 out of which I have

already paid Rs 21150 on the day of departure and another Rs 2000 on 23rd night then I am

left with Rs 7000 more to pay he refused to acknowledge that and said that he has

terminated Ravindra from his company and hence does not acknowledge the agreement and

demanded another Rs 14000 to release my car as he says that the agreement was for delivery

to Kolkata and not to Bardhaman. When I reminded him that I have all the documents to prove

my point he was infuriated and said he will not release my car and see what I can do. He

then abused me and hung up the phone. My wife called him after that and he behaved in the

same way with her. I am planning to go to consumer forum and take legal action. My way bill

number is 187 and 188 and quotation number is 432.
