This complaint is against Meru Cabs for non reporting of the confirmed cab & the consequences of great Tangible & intangible personal loss to me .
I had booked a cab at Meru to travel from Sector 35, Noida to New Delhi Railway station. I had a train to catch from New Delhi to Jaipur (train no:12015) at 6:05 AM on 24th July,2014, for a business meeting. The cab was “CONFIRMED” to arrive at 4:45 AM on 24th July,2014 at the confirmed address but eventually it DID NOT ARRIVE at all.
The booking was done on the previous day, 23rd July,2014. Meru cabs had sent me an SMS confirmation on 23rd July,2014 (the same day) & message is read as “Thank you for choosing Meru for 24 Jul 2014 at 4:45. Your ref no is 28136087”.
The confirmed cab no was : DL1RY4540 & Chauffer was: Neeraj Kumar Thakur.
But to my utter surprise the cab did not show up on time & in spite of repeated calls to the driver, he did not respond . On repeated reporting to Meru Cabs about the status & my deep concern of missing the train, they failed to send the vehicle as promised & hence I missed the train. Eventually, the confirmed cab did not report at all.
The consequence which I face is disastrous. I missed the train, could not cancel the ticket so loss of money, could not reach as per my company’s directive to meet my business associate, the booked hotel had to be cancelled, l lost my face & my reputation as a fresher in my company is at stake. This is a great personal damage which is hard to regain, So, MERU CAB is responsible for all of this losses.
I strongly demand a personal damage claim (for both tangible & intangible losses) of Rs 2,00,000 from Meru Cabs. This is the least I could charge as to the damage MERU CAB has done to me (both personally & professional) & to the health of my family members.
