Non-replacement or refund on a defective product

I had ordered a Nail Art Stamping Kit and it arrived on the 17th Nov,2014.On testing the product,i found it to be defective so i wrote to Shopclues.com to replace the item.They refused to do so stating, “We express our inability to accept your return request as we have sent you the same product with standard quality ordered by you.” I wrote to them again asking them to refund my money if they cannot replace the product.They have replied to me with the same email stating that they are unable to accept my request.I cannot even use the product and i feel shopclues.com has let down another customer
