I have recently purchased Alpenliebe brand confectionery – family pack having MRP of Rs. 30/- manufactured and marketed by Perfeti van Melle India Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon. It contains 50 pillow pack confectioneries of 2.25 gms having MRP of Rs. 0.50 i.e. Rs. 0.50 multiplied by 50 Nos. = Rs. 25/- and the outer pack shows net weight of 112.5 gms having MRP of Rs. 30/-, means they are charging Rs. 5/- extra for family pack with the same contents. I find it misguiding as well as looting the consumers by the company, as being children’s product, they might be thinking that public is not going to count the actual product they are getting.
This is a fit case of looting the consumers and need to take action on the company for the mal-practices they are following.
