I, Vishwambhar Shrivastava, resident of C-65, Chandra Nagar, Ghaziabad (U.P.), want to bring to your kind notice about misbehaviour of employees and authorities of Pashchimanchal Vidut Vitaran Nigam Limited.
On 21 st August I personally went to Surya Nagar Electricity office along with a friend of mine Pt. Hariom Mishra to pay my bill. I had drawn a cheque for Rs.6556.86 paisa, the amount mentioned in my bill.
As I could not stand in queue for long due to old age (83yrs+) and pain in my knees, I sent Pt. Hariom at the counter and waited in my car.
After quite some time he returned and told me that the person sitting at the counter refused to honour the cheque and asked me to bring another cheque for Rs. 6,557/- I talked to Mr. Tyagi, SDO on phone about this.
Without enquiring the problem he asked me to come in his cabin at first floor, and with hope that he would be solving my problem, I met him in his cabin at 1st floor by climbing stairs, despite of knee problem.
On seeing the bill and my cheque he too asked me to bring another cheque in round figure. I wanted to tell him why arrangements are not made to issue electricity bills also in round figure so that customers should not be misguided and harassed. But he was not ready to listen anything on this issue.
Next day i.e. on 22nd August, I again sent Pt. Hariom Mishra at the counter with a new cheque for Rs.6557/- He again came back without depositing the cheque and told me, that the person at the counter told me to bring another cheque for Rs.6558/- keeping the bill and my cheque with him.” I again talked to Shri Tyagi to help me to come out of this problem. But he argued to save his worker.
I have worked with Shri L.K.Advani for 32 years as his Additional Private Secretary while he was I&B Minister in Morarji Desai’s government and his Asstt. Private Secretary while he was Leader of Opposition, Deputy Prime Minister and helped hundreds of common people to come out of their sufferings and misbehaviour from authorities.
But now I am finding myself helpless to solve my own problems. I hope you will help me please.
