Jabong.com denies to refund for defective product

Name of company/service: Jabong.com

I ordered for a necklace set from Jabong.com (An online retail enterprise) against order #120624708348235, which have been delivered to me on 26/06/2012 after making a payment of Rs 699.50/- (Cash on delvery mode). But, to my sheer surprise, I discovered the necklace set was broken in 3/4 places as soon as I opened the shipment box containing the product. Soon after, I contacted customer care section, and as per their advice, I sent a mail to [email protected] containing the snapshots of Necklace Set in the attachment. Though, I’ve seen no response just receiving a mail from jabong about when the broken product will be picked up. After the product was picked up from my address, I contacted jabong customer care about the status, and they said the process will take at least 14 working days for refunding. I contacted several times, but they never initiated any call informing the status of my refunding request. Now today, at 12:30 PM around, I received a call from jabong guys, and they are now saying the refunding will not be done as the product fails in quality check.

1) Does it mean that, Jabong do not do quality check before delivery, and if the product is returned then quality guys wakes up from their deep sleep and does the quality check.
2) Does it have any meaning that, customer purchases something just to go through all these chaos and extra humiliation for begging for the refunding.

I need the refunding of my money. Please help.
