Highly disappointed with baggage handling

Hi,

I have been traveling from past 4-5 years with Indigo airlines and time and again received the best services. But to my surprise, last Friday (18th December) when I was traveling from Hyderabad to Delhi (flight 6E 684), I got highly disappointed.

My luggage weighted more than the allowed limit. I purchased some sweets and cookies worth 2000₹ for my family. I paid 2500₹ for the extra weight and specifically mentioned the Indigo staff at the counter that it would be good if I carry those in my cabin bag instead of luggage. Despite insisting and requesting your staff over there to let me take it in my cabin bag, they didn’t allow me. I very firmly asked them that it might get crushed in luggage as the handling is ruff. They argued in the most assertive way that the luggage would be handled carefully. I told them that it would be a total waste of my money if not taken care of luggage well and insisted them again to let me take it in my cabin bag as I have already paid for extra luggage.

I am highly disappointed and in fact got saddened by the services when I unpacked my baggage and saw my money got wasted. The sweets and cookies which I specially purchased from a famous bakery in Hyderabad and that too worth 2000₹ were crushed. Not even in condition to present or offer someone. I have attached the pictures for your reference.

Moreover, the money I paid for extra luggage, 2500₹, all in vain, wasted.
I am highly disappointed with the services and staff. I used to travel and recommend Indigo to my family as well, but such experience left me in bewilderment and moreover saddened.

Disappointed with services plus the money which got wasted.

I request for the compensation of my loss.
