High Handedness by airtel

Dear Sir,
I have a Airtel Land line connection 022-40027250. Since 25th of January 2012 Voice Mail service was activated by Airtel without taking my consent or approval.
Inspite of my repeated complains no action was taken & the help desk officers were not ready to register a complaint.
The result of this sudden move by Airtel is, that when any one calls me the phone doesn’t ring at my end & the caller is diverted to a voice mail box.
The result of this action was a lot of inconvience caused to me by the unwanted service activated on my landline.
This is my business number , all my clients have this number, the same is printed on all my stationery.
On the 3rd of February 2012 I called the airtel helpline, again they were not ready to register a complaint .When I told them I was not interested in the services & to cancel my Ph. , the tone completely changed & was told to call 178 to deactivate the service. I dialed 178 and after listening to the IVR & following instructions couldn’t deactivate the voice mail service, the whole exercise lasted for 10 minutes. I again called up your helpline again the same routine COLD behavior started, when I told that I was not here to complain but to cancel my connection, the tone changed from “ ICY CHILLED TO WARM ’’ . I was again requested to call up 54321108 to deactivate the service, again the same routine & even after 15 minutes when I reached no where I gave up. Again I called up the help line & told I wanted to cancel the landline. I was WARMLY & POLITELY asked the reason to which I replied that I would explain the same to the cancellation department. I talked to Atika from the cancellation department, who asked for 24hrs to rectify the problem. My Complain No.11199196.
I told Atika “As promised by you, if the problem is not solved in 24 Hrs kindly cancel my landline. ”

Dear sir, nothing happened, I made several calls to the helpline but the problem persisted.hence on , 22 May, 2012, 9:16 AM I sent a mail to

In reaction to this mail I received calls from airtel apologizing and asking me to reconsider my stance of cancelling my connection. Priya from airtel called & said “ Sir as you have mentioned this number is on your stationery, Why do not you pay Rs.1000/= Settle the issue && will have to pay nothing more & in 2 working hours I will re-connect your line.” Hence I Paid Rs.1000/= via Cheque.767208 drawn on Canara Bank 21st of June 2012. In the receipt issued by them “FULL & FINAL” is mentioned. .The money was paid but the line remained dead.
Now Airtel has sent me an email threatening me that if I do not pay Rs.1030/= more they will send me a notice.
On 21st of August 2012 Ram from Airtel headoffice in Andheri called me I explained him the matter & asked him why should I pay,when I am not at fault, he said your notice will be sent today & disconnected the line.
Dear sir when the matter is settled in “FULL & FINAL” & in writing Does a big company have the right to arm-twist a comman man because it has a battery of lawers at its payroll. The comman is forced to pay because of the might of these corporations .
