For the first time my online shopping in India, I placed an order for Sony Xperia SL LT26ii(White) with Snapdeal on 22nd Jan 2013.
I got my item delivered to my office address through Bluedart only on 28th Jan 2013. I was happy with promised delivery service.
I had to wait until 30th Jan 2013 to use the phone as I didn’t had Micro Sim.
When I tried to switch ON mobile, it didn’t start. However, I was able to restart the phone using the troubleshooting method. Later, initial day the phone use to get hang sometimes. Still I am not able to switch ON the phone normally. Later when I connected to system, it asked me for Software Update, post updates were successfully installed on my phone it didn’t switch ON.
Finally, I took it to the nearest Sony Authorized Service Centre – “Abhivrudhi Tech”, 7th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore-560 082.
Post diagnosed by technician/engineer, service desk representative told that the phone has hardware issues with motherboard causing problem and accepted it is a manufacturing defect. However, she was not ready to provide replacement immediately as the phone was purchased through ONLINE RETAILER.
I had also raised a concern of Purchase Bill Copy missing as the Retail Invoice copy sent by you doesn’t contain IMEI number or Serial number.
I DON’T WANT TO USE THE BRAND NEW PHONE WHICH ALREADY HAS A DEFECT.
Snapdeal is not ready to co-ordinate with SONY to get the issue resolved for replacement.
