My wife got a call regarding a free holiday that she had won through a lucky draw, worth Rs 25000.
We were called to the office number 6, second floor, City Square mall, Rajauri Garden, New Delhi at 4 pm, on 1st August, 2013.
We were asked to attend a one hour presentation, after which we would be given the holiday gift voucher.
During the presentation, we were told regarding the membership of country club, and promised of many benefits which included 15 weeks of holidays over a period of 10 years. We politely declined the offer, gave it in writing, and asked to be given the Holiday voucher. While our photos were being clicked, for the holiday voucher, we were again offered additional 5 weeks of holiday vouchers, and told that they can be used in any of the country club properties.
We ended up paying 30000/- as down payment for the membership that we did not need at all, just because of the intense persuation and repeated addition of promised free vouchers.
Now, I realise that the Holiday vouchers are of no use as they do not include the country club properties that are available to a member, and include only shabby hotel properties at the sum of Rs 4000 to avail each voucher.
Also, I was promised that all the facilities including Pick up from the airport, spa in the resort etc are included in the membership fee (which is not the case)
and all the reviews that I have read online point that the club does not deliver what it promises.
In any case, since I have not used any of the facilities of the club, I wish to get my Rs 30000 refunded.
