I booked an EasyCab on 7th July, 2014 which was scheduled to travel from Ghaziabad railway station to Indirapuram on 8th July, 2014 and was booked to arrive on 9:30 pm at Ghaziabad railway station. (BOOKING ID : A070800030). I had to pick up a friend (girl) of mine from Ghaziabad railway station, and I thought cab would be a good option, since it is not feasible to travel via autorickshaws at night, specially considering the unsafe regions near the Ghaziabad station.
The booking went fine and I immediately got a confirmation message at the time of booking itself. On the day of travel, i.e. 8th July, I again made a call to confirm and I got a positive reply, stating that the booking is confirmed and I will get a confirmation message 30 minutes prior to the time of cab arrival.
I reached the station and was waiting for the train to arrive. I didnt get any message from EasyCabs till 9:15 pm. Then I decided to call on the easycab helpline number. I was shocked to hear an apologetic reply, stating that there are no cabs available in that area and the cab cannot arrive.
I was left stranded on the station, and felt terrible because I had confirmed the booking atleast 2 times and had got a positive reply earlier. The EasyCabs team did not care that a passenger is waiting for a night cab to arrive and maybe stranded in the night because of their irresponsibility. They didnt even care to send a regret message beforehand, and the only regret message I received was when I had called them myself to confirm. Had I not called them, I and my female friend would have been left waiting for the cab at night time. Later on also, we faced lot of inconvenience and had to travel by autorickshaw, which felt really unsafe.
I sincerely request for strict action to be taken against such irresponsible travel companies.
