Hello, I purchased a Lenovo A 390 on 21 September, 2013 for Rs. 7990 evening. I took the phone home and realized I wasn’t happy with it. Also, I PURCHASED THE PHONE AS THE STORE DISPLAYED THAT THE PHONE HAD A PARTICULAR OPERATING SYSTEM VERSION ONLY TO FIND OUT FROM THE PHONE”S SETTINGS THAT THE PHONE USES AN OLDER OPERATING SYSTEM THAN WHAT WAS ADVERTISED IN THE STORE.
I took the phone back within 24 hours, and told them I was unhappy with the purchase. I said I would make an exchange purchase of a value greater than that of the price of the phone I had purchased.
However, the store informed me that they will only give me an exchange value of Rs. 4000 instead of Rs. 8000. This was in spite of taking it back within 24 hours and assuring them I would exchange it for a different phone of a higher selling price.
Please help me, as I believe a consumer is entitled to exchange/ store credit in lieu of products that they are unhappy with.
The concerned store is the E-Zone store inside South City Mall at Prince Anwar Shah Road at Kolkata.
