DVD player problem

Dear Sir,

We had bought a Sony DVD Player – Model No. DVP-SR750 at the time of my marriage last year in June 2012. our bill got misplaced and we found only the warranty card inside the box when we faced the problem in the player. The Player stopped working automatically on 2nd June. We were so busy those days that we were unable to take it for repair. one day i went to a sony center to know about if the player can be repaired with them or we have to take it to the service center. Later on 11th June we took it to the sony service center. They said that it is out of warranty and you have to pay 30% of its MRP to get it exchanged. Since i explained them the case that the distances are too far and it is not possible to visit service center during our office hours so thats y we spared some time and came today for this job. Later i complained about this issue to the company on their facebook page and Ms. Vineeta Tyagi replied me back from Sony India Care and i explained the same case to her also. On the warranty card it was mentioned that it is valid till may 2013 in absence of bill and my bill was misplaced. I was assured that i should get the best response from Sony. But at the end they replied the same that i have to pay 30% of the MRP to get it exchanged with the new model.
Y should i pay more to get the piece exchanged because since the piece was still under warranty and company didn’t favoured its customer.

Thats why i thought of complaining about my problem which i am facing .
I had kept the player in my house with no use as my money which i spent on the purchase of the player become useless.
