Double Bill Payment issue due to which my landline has been disconnected.

Location/place: Pune

Name of company/service: Tata Teleservices

Hi,

I have a tata teleservice broadband and landline connection at home

In month of May, I paid the amount due when I got the bill ( 1602 rupees ).
But to my surprise, in the month of June, the bill amount included the amount due for the month of April and May. ( 3281 rupees )
In the bill, I found that payment reversal had been initiated for an amount different ( 1609 rupees) than what was charge for month of April.
In addition, my landline had been suspended due to non-payment.

In order to get my landline started, I paid the amount due.
After doing this, on checking my credit card, I found that I had been charged for both 1602 and 3281 and no reversal ever happened for me to get back 1609.

On calling teleservices, they kept saying that they are looking into this double payment issue. They also confirmed that they had received the amount of 1602 for the month of April as seen in the June Bill. At least 4 cases have been opened since mid-June but the issue is still open.
In the last call, I was told that the extra amount paid by me will be settled against the amount due for the month of June and I don’t have to make any payment for month of June and my landline will not be suspended due to non-payment.

After few days, we started getting calling that I have not paid the bill for month of June.

On checking again with Tata Teleservices, to my horror, I was told that they have never received any payment done in the month of May despite of the payment seen in the bill.
Also, they told me to send them email with evidence of payment from my credit card bill, which I have done.

But still there is no resolution to this after almost 2 months and I have been suspended due to non-payment.

This is mental torture harassment on tata teleservices side and very unprofessional way of handling things.

Please help.

Regards,
Priti
