Denied Service

Name of company/service: Airtel Digital TV

Dear Sir,

I have an airtel Digital TV account. My consumer id is 3006629749. I have registered a complaint as i am not able to view channels because of satellite migration and hence my dish needs to be realigned. My complaint is due since June and no technician has yet attended it.

On further investigation i was informed that Airtel TV has had a dispute with our local area cable TV operator and hence will not service my area.

I have assured the Airtel TV that i will escort them into the building premises and will let them out on successful completion of their work, and the visit will be solely @ my responibility. Yet i have been denied service.

On enquiring about disconnection of the service, i was informed that the Dish and the Set top box are a property of Airtel and will be collected from my house. I will not even be refunded my installation charges of Rs 2000 that i had initally paid to set up the service.

This is cheating from such a repute brand. I am denied service and forced to disconnect the service and yet not refunded my installation fees inspite of surrendering the set top box and the dish.

Please suggest a solutoin to this problem. As of now my connection is still active with Airtel TV without being able to view 50 % of the channels that i have paid for.
