Denial of ticket due to delay caused by Emirates Airlines

I Amit Rawat PPNo. J8116274 had flown with Emirates Airlines from Houston to New Delhi starting on 7th July 2012.i also has a connecting domestic flight to dehradun. The houston – Dubai flight ( EK 212 ) was delayed in houston by more than 4 hours, thereby causing me to miss the original dubai to delhi flight. I was given another flight from dubai to delhi, but by the time the dubai – delhi flight landed and i cleared immigration and collected my baggage, i had missed the domestic flight. When i contacted the domestic flight operator they told me to get a delay letter from Emirates Airlines. After i got the letter Jet Airways told me they wanted confirmation from Emirates Airlines that they will bear the extra costs of the ticket. Although Emirates Airlines should have agreed for that they said that Emirates Airlines has some policy that they cannot do that and that i should bear the cost. I checked the Emirates Airlines site and their Terms & Conditions – Article 9 says that they will pay for it. I already showed the rules to the Emirates Airlines management staff but they just did not agree to it. The same situation in other international airports with the same operators and others also would have worked things out. In the end i had to just get out the airport wihtout getting any refund or ticket for my domestic journey. I hope that you will understand and help me.
