On 29-09-2014 I purchased one “WHIRPOOL FP 263D PROTTON ROY-STEEL KNIGHT” refrigerator from “Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd,20,Old Court House Street,Kolkata-700001 (033-22420133,033-22420171)” vide invoice no.: DH/SA/1415/15790 dt 29-09-2014 for INR 25800/-.The packed refrigerator was delivered on 30-09-2014.On 01-10-14 service engg Sri Ratan Thakur (07278356510/08584016968) unpacked the product,installed & demo.At the time of demo,after installation, we detected “DOOR INSIDE BODY DENT,WHICH IS VERY PROMINENT’,shown the same to the service engg.,he took photo in his mobile,my son (Shamik Kundu),who was then here took photo in his mobile & sent the same to the service engineer’s mobile. I noted “DOOR INSIDE BODY DENT,WHICH IS VERY PROMINENT AND EXPECTED EARLY REPLACEMENT TO AVOID ANY UNFORESEEN SITUATION” on the body of the “SERVICE REQUEST” form prepared by the service engg. on the basis of SR No.: KL 0914017805 (satisfaction code-352) dt 30/09/2014 of Whirpool.On Oct 06,2014 my son (Shamik Kundu) mailed to [email protected],[email protected],[email protected]>Myself personally lodged complaint with customercare dept, Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd,20,O.C.H.St,Kol on 09/10/14 with subsequent mail reminders to the above.Received further SR No.: KL 1014004181 (sat code-305) dt 09/10/14.Subsequent reminder mails sent to the above including [email protected],[email protected],[email protected] & [email protected] on different dates in between 13/10/14 to 30/10/14 (13/10,19/10,21/10,26/10,27/10,28/10,29/10 & 30/10/2014 respectively).Except mail reply on 27/10/14 from “Sneha Mohanto (+911166481666),Whirpool Care Manager-Kolkata” with endorsed copy to Pooja Makhija neith any courtesy reply has been received despite so many mails and talking over 18061804558 & 18002081800 respectively on 13/10/14,21/10,26/10,27/10,28/10,29/10(with Ganpati Jha at 6-45pm) & 30/10(with Ganpati Jha at 11-45 am) respectively. Despite talking with Sneha Mohanto on 30/10 at 1-05 pm & thisday (31/10 at 11-45 am) no result has been received.Immediate fruitful result in respect of replacement,installation & demo of the same is solicited. Our reputation,respect has been damaged to our friends,neighbors & relatives during this DURGAPUJA & KALIPUJA festivals etc. due to installation of a door inside damaged new refrigerator.I am,a senior citizen of 62+ years old, being harassed by Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd,20,OCH ST,Kolkata & Whirpool and have been totally depressed & disheartened.Thinking of filing suit with “DISTRICT CONSUMER GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL FORUM” under “CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT(COPRA),1986”.
