I have booked a Bajaj Discover 150cc from M/s KLN Automobiles (P)
Ltd., E-5, IIIrd Avenue, Anna nagar East Chennai 600102, Tamilnadu on
24/3/2012. On booking I specifically asked for a 2012 model of the
vehicle and it was agreed to orally by the dealer’s sales
representative. Only after completing the purchase formalities and
registration I came to know through RC book, the make of the vehicle
is of Dec. 2011.
This is a clear case of “Breach of faith” on the part of the dealer.
Requests for redressal met with poor response on the part of the
dealer. As per the dealer in the original order copy, there was no
mention about the year of Manufacture. The fact that the
representative has not made the entries properly cannot be construed
as a mistake on the part of the customer and penalized for the same.
A customer goes in for purchase of a new vehicle with the belief that
he will be supplied a latest model vehicle only, irrespective of
whether the year of manufacture is mentioned in order form or not
