Delay in refund and non-responsive customer care

I am writing here a very disgusting experience I had with the First Flight courier agency. It is still not resolved and I am waiting for their response.
I had sent a consignment from their office in Guindy, Chennai on 11th December 2012 to a remote village in Madhya Pradesh on a confirmation from them that it would be delivered (they checked the pincode and confirmed). However, after 11 days on 22nd Dec, the
status(courier tracker)showed ‘Returned to consignor’ because it had reached a ‘Non service station’.
It is a matter of grave concern as the delivery was not made even after confirming about the destination pincode.
When I contacted the booking office and requested for refund, they denied
saying that they would have to contact the Chennai head office. They also
said that my consignment was
‘delivered’ which is absolutely rubbish.
I tried calling the numbers mentioned in the website multiple times but did not get any response. I just received an acknowledgement of the email that I wrote to them.
I spent more than Rs 200/- for that small package excluding the cost involved in going multiple times to that courier office to get the refund.

Just recently, I collected the consignment myself from the office (they didn’t even have the courtesy to send it to my home in Chennai) and they told me (again) that they would contact me regarding the refund. However, I have not received any calls in that matter. I am seriously thinking of not using first flight again and would not recommend their service to anyone.
