I am writing this complaint in hope to get justice. Companies like swipe are looting customers of their money by selling low quality tablet with false promises. On 28th November 2012, I purchased a Swipe Halo Edge Tablet for Rs. 8500\- . I wanted a tablet with good battery backup that’s why I opted for this tablet as the written specification on the box was 3500 mah battery. From day one the device had a very poor battery. I also wrote an email to customer care on 2-4-2013 regarding the poor battery backup and a reply was received with some instructions on how to get maximum battery backup which was also tried. However, In the meantime the charging port malfunctioned and device was unable to charge. Device was sent to the authorised service centre in Chandigarh and it was fixed. Within month of getting the device fixed, same problem re-occurred and again it was fixed temporarily. It kept on like this and I went to service centre thrice however once the device was repaired without even lodging the complaint. At last the service centre agreed that the device had problem and motherboard will be replaced. I insisted on complete replacement of the device instead of just motherboard. The motherboards which are replaced under warranty are refurbished ones and not new ones. On 8-6-2013 the device was handed over to Swipe authorised service centre, to be sent to head office of swipe at Delhi. I wrote several emails regarding issuance of D.O. or a new device on their official email i.e. [email protected] and [email protected]. I also talked to customer care executive on the company’s toll free number. On 10-7-2013, more than a month after surrendering the device, I was informed that device with replaced motherboard is ready. No solution for poor battery backup, Moreover during the period when the device was under repair the battery would have been deep discharged thereby shortening the life of battery or becoming unusable. How can I rely on this product anymore? I expect a complete refund or D.O issued in my favour so that I can get a new device from the dealer. The device had a manufacturing defect and there is defect in services provided by the company and its service centre. The device is still lying at swipe’s service centre in Chandigarh.
