I had purchased Nokia Make Mobile phone Model 920. This is one of the costly top end model publicized by the company as as high quality product. I had paid close to Rs. 35000/- of my hard earned money in the hope that this would help me with the work I am in.
However to my surprise, this handset stopped working completely,(described as ‘Dead’ in the service centre’s fault record). with in about 3 months. The same was submitted to the Nokia care Centre in Chennai, situated at Umalaya Plaza 1st Floor Y-214, 2nd Avenue Anna Nagar, Chennai-600040.Tel Nos. are 04442611000, 044 42611221, 04442613535.
They inspected the Mobile phone and said that the same need to be sent to their HO for diagnosing the defect and further action and asked for one weeks time.
But on subsequent inquiry I was told that the mobile phone couldn’t be repaired and a replacement would be made soon.
I got the replacement after one month.
However after about one month the mobile again stopped functioning (DEAD).
I took the defective mobile to same Nokia centre and after initial inspection was told that the hand set need to be sent to HO for diagnosing the defect and would need one week to do needful.
The Service Job Sheet was issued to me on 22/06/13. Job Sheet No. 7966
However despite my repeated phone calls I have not got the mobile phone repaired or replaced as per warranty terms, yet.
Whenever phone call is made to the Nokia Care centre I get the answer that the status is not known and that they will call me back. But never did they call back during this period which shows that they are not serious about their commitments. This amount to deficiency of service.
I am very much depended on the mobile phone for my work, which is affected very much due to the inaction of the service centre of such a big company like NOKIA.
I look forward to your action to make the company replace the hand set immediately.
