Hello Sir,
My name is Pratik Patel, I am a computer engineer @ Finlogic Technologies working as a Manager.
I have download more than 500 high definition movies with .mkv format and to view that I wanted to purchase a TV.
I had purchased Sony Bravia – LED TV 32″, Model – 32EX550 worth Rs. 37900/- on 2nd December 2012, from Croma Retail Store at Proton Plus, Opposite Khodiyar Temple, L P Savani Road, Adajan Dn, Surat, Gujarat – 395009.
When I went to showroom, they told me that this product of TV can play movies from pen drive, I insistently asked them that “Can this TV play .mkv format of Movie ?” They told me that yes this TV can play all movies and all types of formats. After purchasing new TV, I bring it to my home, after starting TV when I plugged in Pen Drive it is not playing movie which is having .mkv format.
I went to Showroom, they told me that the sales person is not available at show room today, you please come tomorrow. I went at Croma next day, the sales person was there. I asked him that you told me that this TV can play all formats but it is not plaing , he changed and told me that I didn’t told that .mkv format will work in this and he showed me one more TV and told me that this TV can play .mkv format. Which was Sony Bravia TV with Bravia Engine Technology. Croma Sales person told me that Bravia Engine Technology is latest technology.
Previously before purchasing TV, I confirmed with Sony Center that Bravia Engine Technology or X-Reality Technology is latest technology, the Sony Center Person told me that X-Reality technology is latest technology.
Here comes the Point, the Croma Sales person is telling that X-Reality is older Technology & Bravia Engine is the latest Technology. It is showing that Croma Retail Sales persons are not having sufficient knowledgebase regarding Products.
Moreover that sales person told me that Croma is having one Device worth Rs. 4000/- which can definitely play all movie formats, you can buy that device if you want.
They told me that we have logged complaint of your query and revert you soon.
After that I got call from Croma two times in 1 month, and they told me that the complaint is open & we will close it after solving it.
After 1.5 month Yesterday I called croma customer care & they told me that complaint is closed now. Thats why I needed to log my complaint to Grahak Suraksha.
HOW CAN WE SUFFER DUE TO THEIR IN-SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE of a Sales person ? I have purchased a TV worth around 38000 & It is not worth even ? they are telling me to buy one more device worth 4000/- more ? What mean of buying such TV then ? I have purchased TV in installments.
