sir I Prabhat chaturvedi booked a connecting flight from Bagdogra to Ranchi via Kolkata for dated 10th Oct 2013 AI 722 and AI 9785.The name of the passengers were Mrs Uzma Prabhat Chaturvedi(wife) F/32 Yrs and Miss Mantasha Chaturvedi (daughter) F/06 Yrs vide Pnr no J5M4Q.Earlier the Airindia send a msg at about 0900 hrs on 10th October that the flight no AI 722 is rescheduled and delayed for 40 min and likely to flight takeoff at 1520 hrs which will land at Kolkata at 1515 hrs. I talk to AirIndia authority Kolkata, Bagdogra and Chennai regarding the connecting flight they all assure that the alternative arrangement will be made at Kolkata if the connecting flight missed. It was also ensured by Mr. David Duty officer Airindia office Bagdogra. Flight was take off at about 1730 hrs and landed at Kolkata airport at 1816 hrs. Now the Airindia authority denied to provide any assistance at Kolkata from their side like boarding,lodging and even they told that their is no any other airindia flight available on 11th October because the only flight is seat full. So either the option was given to cancel the onwards journey from Kolkata to ranchi or wait till morning if the seat in jetairways will vacant on 11th October it will request from authority but it is not a assurance.Further we were enforced to cancel our ticket of Kolkata to Ranchi in Airindia with a refund of rs 6300/- and a repurchasing of jetairways ticket was purchased for flight no for a cost of rs 13300 and a whole night was a horror with 6 yrs old child at airport premises.I claimed for reimbursement of my expenditure with compensation for the harassment to my wife and daughter.
